Ahead of the arrival of winter, the women's federation in Baise, a city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, has collected warm clothes and shoes worth 450,000 yuan (U.S.$ 66566.07) for local impoverished children from mountainous families.

The donation, which was expected to benefit at least 4,000 target children, came from the Coordination Department at the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government (LOCPG) in Hong Kong, the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) Hong Kong Delegates Association, the China Gas Public Welfare Foundation, other social organizations and charity-minded individuals in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other places in China.

So far, staff members from Baise Women's Federation and local lower-level women's federations have worked together against all odds to successfully distribute collected clothes and shoes amongst teen beneficiaries.
