The Fifth Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) held panel discussions on Saturday to discuss the NPC Standing Committee work report, made by Wu Bangguo, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee on March 9, 2012.

The Yunnan delegation panel discussion was open to the media and questions were fielded by the NPC deputies.

At the panel discussion, journalists raised questions about the lingering drought in Yunnan Province, the Eurasia bridge building, environmental protection and cooperation with Hong Kong.
