The Faye Wong Fan Club arrived at Wukesong gymnasium early on the afternoon of October 29 bearing the banner declaring "Faye Wong, We Love you!"  Swarms of fans bought glow sticks, balloons, hair sequins, telescopes and her CDs from years ago at the stalls scattered outside the gymnasium.

A young couple came from Shenyang, Liaoning Province were radiant at having bought tickets for both Wong's Beijing gig and her Shanghai concert. They were set on following Wong for the length of her tour.

The audience joined in Wong's rendering of 20 or more of her big hits, including Sky, Red Bean and I'm Willing. Other than to thank her fans for their warm reception Wong said nothing during the two-hour concert. But the fans were still enchanted, saying the 2-hour performance was far from enough. One of her girl fans was reduced to tears, saying "She left so suddenly, without a word."
