Vice President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) Chen Xiurong has said that Jiangxi Province in southeast China should focus on distance education for rural women, in order to open up more channels of education to them and improve their overall quality.

She said this during an inspection tour she headed to observe grassroots women's work in Jiangxi Province. President of Jiangxi Women's Federation Pan Yulan and Vice President of Jiangxi Women's Federation Xiao Xiaolan accompanied the inspection tour.
Chen spoke highly of the achievements that women's federations of all levels in Jiangxi Province had made in women's work and development.

The inspection team also held a symposium to invite grassroots women cadres in Jingdezhen City, known as the "Porcelain Capital" of China, to discuss their problems and needs and that of other women.
