President Xi Jinping attended a People's Liberation Army (PLA) naval parade in the South China Sea and made an important remark on April 12.

It was the largest parade ever carried out by the Chinese Navy, with 48 ships and 76 aircraft taking part on the morning of April 12 in the South China Sea. President Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), inspected the whole event.
