People from Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Guizhou Province have used the train system with a low fare to transport their crops between counties for over 20 years.

After they have sold their produce in the cities, they bring home daily supplies and other useful items for the next season on the train of No. 5639 / 5640, which shuttles between Guiyang and Yuping.

Along the way, train attendants have actively given the farmers advice on current prices, as well as information about employment, in a bid to help them get rid of poverty as quickly as possible.
