Led by the All-China Women's Federation, women's federations at all levels organized a series of child care and family education services for rural left-behind and impoverished children during the summer holiday.

Women's federations of 31 provinces and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps mobilized 564,000 university students, members of the executive committee of the local women's federations and volunteers to participate in voluntary services.

Thirty-one university student volunteers' teams were dispatched to 59 communities in eight counties in Sichuan, Hunan and Gansu provinces. At the same time, the China Children and Teenagers' Fund organized more than 3,800 student volunteers from 410 universities to provide care to children during their summer holiday.

In addition, various women's federations carried out activities involving education in patriotism, family traditions, culture, safety and law.

Statistics show that child-care services and family education organized by the women's federations at all levels during this year's summer holiday covered more than 2,000 counties or districts and benefitted nearly 7.3 million children and parents.
