Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) and other organizations jointly launched the first Family Arts Exhibition on August 1 in Yanqing District Cultural Center, Beijing, on the theme of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Wei Hongying, president of Yanqing Women's Federation, participated in the opening ceremony and gave a speech.

The activity aims to promote the construction of family civilization with core socialist values, to build good family traditions and help children grow in a sound way.

The new trends in socialist family civilization should be oriented towards patriotic, neighbor-loving, positive and shared values.

Meanwhile, this event was also designed to promote the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, carry forward Chinese traditional culture, and improved local citizens' artistic accomplishments.

In the exhibition, approximately 100 calligraphy works and traditional Chinese paintings from among 300 of those participating were on display, according to organizers.

In addition, Yanqing Women's Federation would also organize model families, impoverished households as well as single-parent families in the region to visit the exhibition, in an effort to inspire more families to strive to be role models, said officials.
