The 2018 Dandelion rights protection project kicked off on April 4 in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to champion women and children's rights.

The campaign was sponsored by Bayannur Women's Federation (BWF) and hosted by Linhe District Women's Federation.

At the kicking-off ceremony, Qimughua, Vice President of BWF, requires that women's federations at all levels throughout the city should highly value the rights protection project, actively cooperate with other departments to ensure the project progress smoothly.

They must strengthen supervision on expenditure to guarantee that money is used exclusively for specific purposes, according to Qimughua.

And all project undertakers should carefully examine and assess their work and effectively tackle related problems, she addded.

For the campaign, BWF signed a project contract with four organizations and donated 130,000 yuan. Officials from the four organizations promised to advance the project properly and do their best to serve women and children.

The Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region decided to invest 1.05 million yuan in 2018 to carry out 34 projects for serving women and children including legal advocacy, legal services, family disputes mediation, women and children's protection, psychological counseling and other family activities.
