Huang Qingyun, vice-chairman of the Shanghai Jian Qiao University (SJU); Zhou Jianer, SJU vice-president; and, five other teachers visited China Women's University (CWU) on April 21. CWU vice-president Wang Lian received them and presided over a seminar.
Wang introduced CWU's development history, its goal of talent cultivation, and educational orientation. Directors from the CWU relevant functional departments participated in the event.
The two sides further discussed and exchanged opinion on how to prioritize characteristics, give full play to professors on governing higher education, and improve graduates' employment quality. SJU delegates said that they would like to continue to step up cooperation and exchanges with CWU in the future.
SJU is a full-time university of higher learning with undergraduate education as its main function. The university, with teaching as a pivotal task, cultivates innovative talents with practical skills catering for the field through close cooperation with businesses and enterprises.
