Peking University Hosts Women Human Resources Exploration and Social Development Symposium

The Women Human Resources Exploration and Social Development Symposium held at Peking University from October 14 to 16 also marked the 20th Anniversary of the Women's Studies Center of Peking University.

Fifty or more experts and researchers from China's mainland, Hong Kong and South Korea attended the symposium. Participants focused on exploring women human resources and social development and discussed and exchanged ideas on these topics and also women's studies methodology from the perspectives of economic development, higher education, culture and sports and policy making.

When the seminar ended, the Women's Studies Center of Peking University, Gender Research Centre of Chinese University of Hong Kong and Institute for Women's Studies of Keimyung University signed an academic exchange and cooperation agreement.

Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education Li Weihong, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of All-China Women's Federation Zhen Yan, President of Beijing Women's Federation Zhao Jinfang and Vice Director of Women's Studies Institute of China Tan Lin attended the symposium.
