Guo Xiufang, 70, a retired primary school PE teacher in Beijing, looked at her self-made Fuwa, the Olympic mascots, with pleasure. Guo began to make Fuwa by herself in 2006, soon after the five dolls were unveiled as the Olympic mascots in November 2005, to express her best wishes for the 2008 Olympic Games.
