According to the requirements of IOC and prior commitments by Beijing, Prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 42 sport events are planned between July 2007 and June 2008, namly "Good Luck Beijing" Sport Events. The "Good luck Beijing" series includes 14 top-level international sporting events and several integrative competitions, covering the whole range of the Olympic sports.

The "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Marathon Swimming Olympic Women's Qualification concluded at Beijing's Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park today with another 11 swimmers qualifying for the Olympic Games in August.
