Project on Women and Children´s Healthcare and Community Health

The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Capital Institute of Pediatrics, supported by Ministry of Health, recently carried out a strategic project to promote women and children's healthcare and community health services, publicize healthcare work, and encourage children's early development.

Research Project on Adolescent Reproductive Health

The National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Institute of Population Research of Peking University jointly conducted in September, 2008 the first ever research project on adolescent reproductive health in China.

Oral History Project on Chinese Women in the 20th Century

The launch in 1992 of the Oral History Project on Chinese Women in the 20th Century, headed by Professor Li Xiaojiang, owes much to funding from Beijing Normal University Publishing House in 1992, the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia in 1993, and the Ford Foundation in 1994 and 2001.

The program strengthens administration, promotion and protection of human rights in China by assisting in the areas of legal reform of women's and children's rights and ethnic and minority rights.

Policy Research on Economic Assistance for Elderly Women in China

The project analyzes economic assistance vis-à-vis gender and suggests measures to deal with the issue of economic assistance for elderly women as the demographic focus of the study.

Project of Promoting Gender Equality during the Constitution and Execution of Laws and Policies

The project aimed to strengthen the communication and interactions between experts on women's and legal issues, government legislators and on women at the grass root level through the utilization of studies, training and campaigns.

Research on China´s Policy on Women´s Employment in the Last Three Decades

The project analyzes the causes of past changes and presents a comparison of the policy before and after the institution of the 1978 opening-up and reform policy. The project also sets forth propositions to improve the current policy.

Research on the Gender Culture of China

The aim of the project is to facilitate further research in advanced gender culture as a basis for redefining traditional and modern gender types.
